About This Opportunity
Nationwide volunteering movement that started in Bengaluru in 2007. It inspires youth to volunteer and provides them with opportunities to serve their community. YFS supports schools, destitute shelters, government hospitals, and other organizations in the social sector through volunteers who mitigate shortcomings and challenges. The Bengaluru chapter hosts regular and one-time volunteering events, partners with corporates and organizations, and aims to build a self-reliant society powered by socially conscious youth.
What We Do
- Regular volunteering in education
- Fundraising campaigns and one-day social events
- Corporate volunteering (sports/art/cultural, sapling plantation, cleanathons)
- Events: Children’s Day Program, blood donation, vaccination drives, relief activities, annual carnival for kids ("Chiguru"), treks, workshops
- Community visits to military memorials and orphanages.
