About This Opportunity
DESIRE Society, founded in 2004, is a registered NGO working across five Indian states including Karnataka, focusing on health and well-being for children orphaned or affected by HIV/AIDS. They aim to reduce stigma, provide institutional care, nutrition, medical treatment, education, and psychosocial support, supporting over 800 beneficiaries. Their mission is to improve the lives of children and women affected by HIV/AIDS, helping them achieve their full potential despite adversity.
What We Do
- Institutional care homes (ongoing)
- Child nutrition and health care programs (year-round)
- Annual summer camp (May, across India)
- Children’s Day, Independence Day, Diwali, and World AIDS Day events (annual)
- Volunteering and advocacy programs (year-round)
