About This Opportunity
Cheshire Disability Trust (CDT), a member of the Leonard Cheshire Disability Global Alliance, is an NGO based in Bangalore, India. CDT exists to improve the lives of persons with disabilities by offering skills training, employment support, and holistic development. Their mission is to enable people with disabilities to enjoy their rights, fulfill their potential, and achieve economic independence through tailored training programs, advocacy, and inclusion efforts. Since its inception in 2011, CDT has trained and placed thousands of persons with disabilities across Bengaluru and beyond.
What We Do
- Livelihood training for persons with disabilities (aged 19–35)
- Disability awareness sessions and events (e.g., Disability Awareness 5K Run, Sign Language Campaigns)
- Self-defence courses for women
- Meetups and ongoing job placement and post-placement support for members
- Year-round programs and activities
