About This Event
“Sanje Haadu” is a Kannada social play written in 1989 by Rajendra Karanth. The story revolves around three central characters and explores themes of loneliness, companionship, and emotional connection.
Sadashivrao, an elderly man, lives alone after the demise of his wife while his only son, Chandrashekar, is busy building his career in Bengaluru. His quiet life takes a turn when Sujayeendra Theertha, a young bank employee, becomes his paying guest.
As time passes, Sadashivrao begins to see Sujayeendra as the son he misses deeply. The play unfolds through their interactions, revealing human vulnerability, warmth, and the emotional ties that transcend family definitions.
