About This Community
Symbai is a community initiative led by sisters Daphimanroi (Daphi) and Dakiwanri (Daki) Warjri. They believe Khasi food should be celebrated and elevated, bringing the traditional cuisine and heritage of Meghalaya to diverse audiences in Bengaluru and beyond through pop-ups, supper clubs, and community dining experiences. Their mission is to foster cultural appreciation, conversation, and knowledge sharing around indigenous food, nurturing social bonds and educating participants about Khasi traditions. Symbai is for anyone curious about North East Indian cuisine and the stories behind it, food lovers, wellness enthusiasts, and cultural explorers.
