About This Community
Raahi is a Karnataka-based NGO dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community, focusing especially on those assigned female at birth, trans men, intersex persons, and partners. Founded in 2018, Raahi provides crisis intervention, legal aid, mental health support, short-term shelter, advocacy, workshops, education, and sensitisation. Their flagship initiative is Karnataka’s first short-term shelter home. The organisation aims to create safe, inclusive spaces and combat societal bias, striving towards dignity and empowerment for the community.
