About This Community
GoodAsYou is one of India's longest-running LGBTQIA+ support and social groups, established in 1994 in Bangalore. It serves as a safe space for LGBTQ people and others questioning their gender and sexuality. The group provides a discussion forum for sexual minorities and advocates equal rights for homosexuals and other gender and sexual minorities. Currently hosted at Swabhava Trust office, the group has been meeting consistently every Thursday for over 30 years, offering both online and offline support meetings where community members can share experiences, seek support, and connect with peers.
What We Do
- Weekly support group meetings (Thursdays 7–9 PM offline, Sundays online)
- Film screenings at Swabhava (Saturdays 6 PM onwards)
- Organizing workshops and educational sessions
- Co-organizing Bangalore Queer Film Festival
- Supporting Pride events during Pride Month (November)
- Counseling and social support services through Swabhava
