About This Community
Art In Transit (AiT) is a public art, design, and pedagogic initiative collaboration between the Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology and Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation. Since 2014, AiT brings together students, artists, and community organizations to transform metro stations into creative hubs, making public spaces more vibrant, interactive, and inclusive. They organize art installations, workshops, performances, research projects, and festivals, aiming to embed creativity in the ordinary fabric of urban life and promote dialogue about Bangalore’s identity, ecology, and diversity. AiT is open to everyone in the city interested in creative learning and community action.
